You can run Silent Runners Script to see what proceses are started at OS boot

services.exe can be attacked by buffer overflow do to some viruses that are / were on the pc and may cause your pc to be "frozen". I suggest running an antivirus with buffer overflow protection (i personally run McAfee Internet Suite 2007 that blocks this but doesn`t seem to remove it) untill i will come up with a solution or find more date about it.
A solution most people use is to reinstall the OS. But that is some lost hours and i don`t like that.
I`ll try to put a new services.exe in the place of the old one (in safe mode) and see what happens. Hope it will work.
